If you're new to breastfeeding I am sure you have more questions than you know what to do with. Even if you aren't new to it, you may have had a bad first experience.
When I worked bedside I realized that the education for breastfeeding that's given in a hospital is often one size fits all and doesn't take into consideration the individual needs of mom and baby.
I compiled this list after having mom after mom ask me the same exact questions and things I learned along my own breastfeeding journey.
Table of Contents:
- Why is my back hurting?
- Feeding On Demand
- Is My Baby Getting Enough?
- Do I Feed On One Side or Both?
- Sore Nipples
- Feeding Cues
- Colostrum VS Mature Milk
- Clogged Ducts
- Pumping To Store
- Pumping To Feed
I remember when I started my breastfeeding journey. I wish I knew everything on this list. The ride would have been much more smoother and less stressful, hence why I made it.
